Growing up in a musical household, Ricky developed an obsession with music at a young age. He was playing instruments from early childhood and his passion for music has carried on growing right through his life, along with his musical taste, which has continuously expanded to include many different styles and genres.
Ricky began Djing in 1999 when he developed a fascination with turntables and mixing music together. His career took off quickly and he went to live in London for 2 years where he became the resident DJ in a popular Covent Garden nightclub called The Langley.
On returning to South Africa, Ricky’s career continued to develop. Apart from playing in clubs and bars around the country, he started doing private and corporate events and began to work for some of the country’s top event coordinators and companies, including Otto De Jager, The Aleit Group and Anne Manne (to name a few). He also started to build up what has become a large clientele of top companies and private who call on his services regularly.
Ricky has a wide selection and has played for just about every kind of crowd imaginable. He has a gift for reading a crowd and keeping the party rocking.
